It wasn’t the sunniest of days, but we decided to take advantage of the fresh white stuff and get out of the city. I haven’t been doing enough of this lately so I really felt the need to spend some time outdoors in nature regardless of the weather. So into the forest we skied. We also brought our snowshoes and climbing gear along just in case we had leftover energy. (Mark’s idea) The temperature was freezing cold at first and my sauna was definitely on my mind, but as we got moving, things warmed up nicely. It was so pretty and peaceful – no one on the trails but us and a little white mink!

Quite a few newbies joined us at Friday’s potluck & movie night. A few journalists also came out to interview SimplyRaw & the raw community in Ottawa. For those in the Ottawa area, check out next Friday’s Centertown Newspaper. As usual, the food was delicious and company uplifting. Jacinthe won the “most popular” dish with her vegetable marinara sauce. We’ll be posting Jacinthe’s recipe soon. Thanks everyone for coming out. It’s always wonderful seeing familiar faces and new ones too!
