Welcome to the SimplyRaw blog! SimplyRaw is based in Ottawa, Canada – we provide a range of services to help make it easier for people to incorporate healthier lifestyle choices into their lives. We are also involved in community outreach activities to help spread the word far and wide.
Our services include:
The life-changing Simplyraw detox program as outlined in Natasha’s book “The SimplyRaw Living Foods Detox Manual”. Our 4-week guided program includes is complete with step-by-step guidance and lots of nourishing recipes; an online peer support group for participants; and weekly in-person group meetings for those in Ottawa; or weekly phone consultations for participants around the world.
Life In the Kitchen food-prep workshops that delve into a range of healthy, easy-to-prepare raw vegan (& gluten-free) recipes that also taste great! Each 2-hour workshop includes delicious food, hands-on learning opportunities in a small group setting, and recipe handouts for everything made in the class.
For that extra bit of personalized attention we also offer private coaching either in-person or over the phone from anywhere in the world. Each consultation session helps you to identify personal goals and a plan to achieve your goals.
For the benefit of the community we also host non-profit monthly raw vegan potlucks that attract a diverse group of both newbies and those living the lifestyle. We organize a yearly raw festival to come together with the raw community to celebrate, and help get the word out more broadly. We also love being in the public eye and get out to as many community events & health shows as possible, and engage the local newspapers, radio and tv stations to promote the raw lifestyle.
Natasha and Mark will be posting here whenever we get the opportunity. Enjoy!

Hi Natasha. I love reading your blog. You are a true inspration! I discovered the raw life a little over a year ago and am loving the level of health, clarity and energy it has brought to my life. I just have one simple question fo you. I greatly admire your food log and was wondering what is firewater? Many thanks!
Warmly, Jenn
Hi Jen,
Firewater is fresh lemon juice mixed water and cayenne. It’s a large part of my detox program, and is a great way of beginning the day. It can be consumed warm or cold.
Congrats on going raw – it keeps getting better and better!
Cheers,
Natasha
Dear Natasha,
Just saw you on the C.T.V. noon-hour news, 01/14/10.
You look terrifically healthy and happy. I’ve just spent an hour or so looking over your website and reading the recipes and about your new book. You’ve done an amazing thing, congratulations and best wishes for continuing, well-earned success.

I have tried 3 times to train for a marathon and keep getting injuries and anemia. I am using a running coach and before I turned 50 never had injuries and have always been in good shape. I saw your 28 day program and am willing to try anything at this point as I am wondering if my bad diet could be the problem mostly. Constantly muscle and joint problems. What are your thoughts on this?
