Hi Jen,

Firewater is fresh lemon juice mixed water and cayenne. It's a large part of my detox program, and is a great way of beginning the day. It can be consumed warm or cold.

Congrats on going raw - it keeps getting better and better! :)

Cheers,

Natasha

I discovered the raw life a little over a year ago and am loving the level of health, clarity and energy it has brought to my life. I just have one simple question fo you. I greatly admire your food log and was wondering what is firewater? Many thanks!

Thanks for that- it got straight to the point about that particular cleanse...

I've been taking hemp protein and am looking into other beneficial elements like wheatgrass and chlorella.

Would you recommend them?

I have fond memories of a visit to Vermont one winter for skiing. We made a pilgrimage to a vegetarian restaurant - I think it was Stone Soup. I wonder if that restaurant still exists? I loved Burlington too and there was a really great health food store there where we got some take out.

On another road trip, we visited the Moosewood in Ithaca and had some great veg food at Cornell where we ended up staying overnight. I remember we were planning this great evening in the dining room and had to abort and eat in our room due to a fussy baby.

I want to treat my husband's life-threatening conditions with wheatgrass. It appears that juice is much better than the powers or pills. For healing purposes, is this correct in your experience? Before I go out and buy a juice producing station, I want to be sure that this is what makes the most sense. Any advice or suggested additional sources of info would be greatly appreciated.

How exciting Natasha!

I actually just purchased your book from the Singing Pebble and I am really excited to finish reading it. I'm looking forward to starting the program once I finish the book, get organized and am 100% ready for the committment. Planning to start the program June 1st or possibly July 1st.

You should be very proud of yourself! Thus far, I am learning so much from your lovely book. It's simple and straight forward which makes for an easy to follow program.

I was hoping to make it to the potluck tomorrow, but it doesn't look promising. Hope to see you around soon!

Peace & Love
